Born and raised in Orleans, France, Sophie Parou, aged sixteen, set out to discover the world. After a few years spent in Ireland and UK, her path took her to the Middle East where she settled for twenty years and evolved into a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur in the food industry.
Aware from an early age that in a world where even the most talented must often struggle to exist; she became fascinated by the story and achievements of one of these rare, unsung human beings she met in Kuwait. An exceptionally gifted individual who dared pursue the unconventional against regulated standards within the field of majestic cakes. Therein, Sophie Parou's first book was born, bringing with it a beacon of light and hope for all those who dare pursue, ergo propel their gifts, to the realms of the gods.
